Wallet Upcycled Sari

A sweet textile wallet made from upcycled saris. The sari material inside the wallet varies from the design on the outside. There is a long open pocket for notes and also five open pockets for cards. The wallet is secured with an elastic loop and sari covered button. . Every purse is unique depending on the sari material used but most are in pastel shades.

Length approx. 11.5cms.

Blending soft, old sari fabric with skillful stitching , Kantha has been a tradition for generations. For many women it is an heirloom to be passed down to their children and grandchildren. There is a saying” When away from home the kantha is remembrance of my mother because it is soft as her arms which have comforted me in the past.”
