The word Namaste is an Indian respectful greeting, both as a welcome and saying good-bye. This salutation addresses the inner being, whilst in the western world, the greeting focuses on attention for the outer man. Namaste is not a superficial gesture or a mere word- it is for all people.
It is honouring God in the person that we are meeting. Namaste is also a humbling gesture. Namaste is said as a recognition that we are all on equal standings, WE ARE ONE.
